The saw blade has a spine (12) and toothed side (14). Across the saw blade axis over the entire width of the blade (10) and saw teeth (16) are imprinted substantially uniformly parallel waves (22, 24) which run inclined at an acute angle to the saw blade axis towards the tip. The length of the waves is preferably determined in dependence on the toothed spacing of the saw teeth.
