The procedure for the packing of rod-form packing product (1) involves wrapping the product in plastic film (4). First, a holding element (2) is provisionally fastened on one end of the product, then covering the product together with the holding element with plastic film. Holding protrusions (5) protrude over the contour of the product in order to ensure a connection of the holding element to the plastic film, after which a fastening element (7) is fastened to the holding element. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) an arrangement of a rod-form packing product; and (b) a device for the holding of rod-form packing products.
