A method and material for covering exposed insulation surfaces to protect th em from moisture and other environmental factors. In one embodiment, the coveri ng includes a first, exposed layer of a metal-containing foil (12), a second layer of a metal-containing foil (16), a layer of a polymer (14) disposed between the first two layers (12, 16) of foil, a third layer of a metal- containing foil (20), and a second layer of polymer (18) disposed between th e second and third layers of foil (16, 20). A layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive (22) may be applied to one of the exposed layers of foil (20). The pressure sensitive adhesive layer (22) is covered with a release liner (24) prior to application. |
