<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely, quickly, and inexpensively manage a part/apparatus in a plant installation site. <P>SOLUTION: The field product management system is constructed by installing a field product management database, which stores conditions of arrival, storage, shipment of the part/apparatus conveyed to a construction site as electronic data, and including a physical distribution management server, which is connected to the Internet and connected to a site side computer terminal installed in the construction site via an intranet. The physical distribution management server is provided with a function for storing product information, which includes the name of the part/apparatus and a shipment expected date transmitted from a manufacturer of the part/apparatus via the Internet, in the field product management database and storing information of the part/apparatus, which is inputted from the field computer terminal via the intranet, in the field product management database in association with the stored name of the product/apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
