<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide handrail fixing structure allowing easy construction and positive fixing. <P>SOLUTION: In the structure of fixing a flange connected to a handrail to a building skeleton, the handrail is fixed with hanger bolts through holes opened in the flange. Consequently, even when a cover interferes with the axes of the bolts, the hanger bolts are screwed into a structure beforehand, and after temporarily being fixed, the handrail can be firmly fastened with nuts from the direction of avoiding an interference with the cover. The handrail can thereby be positively fixed to the structure. Furthermore, even if the handrail is large-sized and heavy, the hanger bolts are screwed into the structure beforehand, and the handrail is temporarily fixed in a state of the hanger bolts passing through the flange of the handrail, and then firmly fastened with the nuts.
