PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium from which the recorded data is difficult to be duplicated to another recording medium in order to protect a copyright holder. SOLUTION: The recording medium comprises a recording track where the basic data are recorded by using pits and additional data becoming additional information to the basic data is recorded by changing the direction of magnetization. Reproduction information is arithmetically operated with additional information used as a coefficient, has higher quality than that of basic information, and therefore has a quantity larger than the basic information.
