PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage device for storing and conveying a variety of articles. SOLUTION: A plurality of racks 10 arranged in parallel in left and right directions individually have conveyance means 11 for conveying loaded articles. Each conveyance means 11 is driven by transmitting driving force to a drive transmission gear 90 by a drive output gear 77 of a driving part defined to be transferable. The drive transmission gear 90 is selectively transferred to a separated state at which it can be engaged with the drive output gear 77 and for separating and driving each conveyance means 11 and a linked state at which it is linked to a conveyance means 11 of the adjacent rack 10 and engagement in the drive output gear 77 becomes impossible. At the linked state, one drive transmission gear 90 of the adjacent rack 10 can be engaged with the drive output gear 77 and the conveyance means of the linked rack 10 is driven together.
