LUBRICANT COMPOSITION, SPEED REDUCER USING THE SAME, AND ELECTRIC POWER STEERING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricant composition capable reducing the noise of a speed reducer independently of the magnitude of backlash when a smaller gear and a larger gear are combined with each other and without complicating the structure of the speed reducer, to provide a speed reducer reduced in noise by using the lubricant composition, and to provide an electric power steering apparatus equipped with the speed reducer.

SOLUTION: The lubricant composition, to be used in lubrication between a metal surface and a resin surface, essentially comprises a lubricant and particles 10-200μm in mean size made of a material softer than the metal surface but harder than the resin surface.
