PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which has excellent response of the liquid crystal display panel even under low temperature surroundings and which is mass-produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel 2 and a backlight part constructed by using a light diffusion plate 3, a light reflection material 4 and an LED 6 to make light irradiate the side face is disposed on the side of one surface of a multilayer substrate 5 and a plurality of chip resistors 8 are disposed on the side of the other surface the multilayer substrate 5. Furthermore, through holes 9, a copper foil pattern 10 and substrate holes 11 for heat-retention are formed on the multilayer substrate 5 respectively corresponding to a region with the chip resistors 8 disposed thereon, a region on the multilayer substrate 5 associated with a region with the liquid crystal display panel 2 disposed thereon, and regions outside the copper foil pattern 10. Thereby, without changing constructions of the liquid crystal display panel 2 and the backlight part, heat from the chip resistors 8 is effectively transmitted to the liquid crystal display panel 2 and the liquid crystal display device 1 having the excellent response of the liquid crystal even under low temperature surroundings is mass-produced at a low cost.
