PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and easily perform the replacement of a molding fitted in a space between a window frame of a vehicle body and a rim of window glass. SOLUTION: The window glass 12 is bonded and fixed to the window frame 16 with an adhesive 44, and the molding 10 is bonded to the window frame 16 with an adhesive 42 applied on the bonding surface 36b which is part of the molding 10. After the existing molding 10 has been removed, a replacement molding 50 having a retreated bonding surface 58b retreated from an original bonding surface 36b is fitted in a space between a remained adhesive surface 62 and the retreated bonding surface 58b while a new adhesive 66 is filled into the space. Since there is no effect due to irregularity or the like generated on the remained adhesive surface 62, the molding 50 does not cause warpage and its finished appearance is excellent.
