PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve access performance to an important document, in an information retrieval processing system having a function executing retrieval with a term shown by annotation as a retrieval key. SOLUTION: The annotation is imparted to a portion that is a query, and a retrieval process is started (S100, S102). A character string extraction part 502 extracts a character string close to the annotation (S110), and finds annotation importance level (S114). An important word extraction part 504 morpheme-analyzes the character string to divide the character string into words, and imparts a part of speech to the word (S120). The important word extraction part 504 finds an important word importance level with a proper noun as an important word (S124). An importance level calculation part 506 calculates a query importance level on the basis of the annotation importance level and the important word importance level (S130). The query is sent to a retrieval requirement specification part 500 (S132). A document retrieval part 522 searches a document DB 224 (S140). A ranking part 524 integrates the query importance level of the retrieval key in each document (S146), sorts a retrieval result in order of a score of the document (S152), and returns it to a viewer 102 (S154).
