PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens cap which is superior in operability and easy to use and a photographing device with such a lens cap. SOLUTION: The lens cap 28 is equipped with a base part 30 which is detachably fitted to the tip part of a lens barrel of the photographing device and a lid plate 32 which is connected to the base part 30 to swing between a closure position where the photographic lens of the photographing device is closed and an opening part where the photographic lens is opened. The base part 30 has a frame part 3002 which is fitted to the tip part of the lens barrel 24, a base-side hinge part 3004, a projection piece part 3006, a 1st engagement part 3008, and three engagement pieces. A lid plate 32 has a lid plate main body 3202, a lid plate side hinge part 3204, a finger rest part 3206, and a 2nd engagement part 3208.
