PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for folding workpiece with correcting a spring-back amount. SOLUTION: The method for folding workpiece, which is a process of folding workpiece W to a desired target angle A, detects a spring-back amount (θ4-θ3) of the workpiece near the target angle, obtains a correcting value k×(θ4-θ3) of the spring-back amount by multiplying a coefficient (k) to the detected spring-back amount (θ4-θ3), and compensates an amount corresponding to the correcting value of the spring-back amount for the angle near the target angle where the spring-back amount (θ4-θ3) was detected.
