PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bending device used for both forward and backward bending the whole device of which is compactly settled, with which interference with a work is prevented, on which various dies can be installed and with which the use range of the die is enlarged. SOLUTION: A forward and backward bending changing means 1 for detaching an intermediate die DD' (PP') attached to an upper die P (D') from the upper die P (D') and mounting it on a lower die P' (D) or detaching the intermediate die DD' (PP') mounted to the lower die P' (D) from the lower die P' (D) and mounting it on the upper die P (D') is provided in the front.
