The fixing device has a suction block (12) mounted on a tension beam (10) with a suction channel (42) open on one side and leading to a vacuum. The open side is closed by a lip seal. The flow channel opens out from the top out of the transport yoke (14) in a sword-shaped end (22) which engages in the lip seal. The sword-shaped end which is preferably hollow projects vertically up from the transport yoke.
