<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain dynamic characteristics required for an automobile by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In a configuration similar to that of a regular FF vehicle comprising an engine 22 and an automatic transmission 30, a first motor 46 and a second motor 48 are connected to a rear wheel drive shaft with different gear ratio, and the first motor 46 and the second motor 48 are driven by the power from a generator 26 mounted on the engine 22. Both motors are stopped by turning off change-over switches S1 and S2 at the vehicle speed in which the back electromotive voltage becomes the generation voltage by the generator 26. Therefore, the power from the motors can be output in an extensive vehicle speed range, and the dynamic characteristic necessary for the vehicle can be obtained with a simple configuration together with the power from the engine 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
