PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized high definition active matrix type liquid crystal display wherein a lighting display inspection can be easily performed using an inexpensive inspection device. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display, a plurality of image signal wiring patterns and a plurality of scanning signal wiring patterns are provided so as to cross each other via an insulation film, a pixel electrode and a switching element for supplying an image signal to the pixel electrode are provided at a crossing part of the pixel signal wiring patterns and the scanning signal wiring patterns, and a liquid crystal material is held between the pixel electrode and a counter electrode provided opposite to the pixel electrode. A plurality of connection terminals for inputting signals for driving the liquid crystal display and connected to the plurality of the image signal wiring patterns and the plurality of the scanning signal wiring patterns are formed at one side of the liquid crystal display and a plurality of inspection terminals for performing lighting display of the liquid crystal display are provided at the end part of the side at which the connection terminals are formed.
