摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level conversion circuit capable of high speed operation with low power consumption. SOLUTION: The level conversion circuit comprises a circuit for assisting transition of the voltage level at a second joint between a second P type MOS transistor and a second N type MOS transistor from a low level to a high level when a low voltage signal makes a transition from a high level to a low level. Consequently, the voltage level at the second joint, i.e. the gate of a first P type MOS transistor, exceeds its threshold level at a fast timing and the first P type MOS transistor can be turned off quickly. Since a period where the first P type MOS transistor and the first N type MOS transistor are turned on simultaneously can be shortened, a converted signal can be transited from a high level to a low level at a high rate and power consumption can be reduced by reducing a through current.
