PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display wherein the variations of the characteristics of paired transistors used for a differential amplification circuit, etc. and created by a quasi-single crystal technique can be reduced. SOLUTION: The display has a semiconductor layer provided on a substrate and having quasi-single crystal regions and has a plurality of thin-film transistors provided in the quasi-single crystal regions. Further, two or more thin-film transistors of the plurality of thin-film transistors the mutual variations of whose characteristics are required to be small as transistor characteristics are so disposed that the directions of the gate lengths of the respective transistors form angles≤±20°with the longitudinal direction of the crystal grown in the form of a strip, and that, when the channel regions of the respective thin-film transistors are extended virtually in parallel with the direction of the crystal grown in the form of a strip, at least some portions of the extended channel regions overlap with each other.
