PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positional information notification system, where acquisition request and transmission of current positional information can be performed between communication terminals, and a communication terminal that calculates a current position of its own terminal at a predetermined timing and is capable of transmitting the current positional information even without an operation by a user. SOLUTION: When a communication terminal requests to acquire the current positional information of a GPS communication terminal, the request is sent to the GPS communication terminal. The GPS communication terminal calculates the current position based on the electric wave from a GPS satellite, and sends current positional information to the communication terminal. The GPS communication terminal 103 comprises a current positional information calculating section 203 that calculates the current position of the own terminal from electric wave received by a GPS antenna 201 when a first condition is met, a radio communication section 207 that transmits the current positional information from a radio communication antenna 205 on a predetermined format when a second condition is met, a memory 209 that stores the first condition, the second condition, the current positional information and the like, and a control section 211 that judges whether or not each condition is met and transforms the current positional information into a predetermined format.
