PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid crystal device of which the profiles of electrodes on the lower and upper sides of the liquid crystal, being driving electrodes in the vicinity of an injection port, are not damaged and appearance of a picture is not deteriorated. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal cell part is formed between two sheets of substrates, respectively having the driving electrodes and dummy electrodes 101g to keep the gap between the electrodes constant, placed opposite to each other with a sealing member 103 having the liquid crystal injection port 103a and the liquid crystal is filled therein. The liquid crystal device is provided with a plurality of the dummy electrodes 101g electrically connected to regions with widths wider than that of the driving electrodes in a direction of widths of the driving electrodes so as to have the same potential as that of the driving electrodes.
