PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a lens retaining mechanism for half-rim spectacles with a band retaining structure which can be used more securely at ease by displaying the original strength of a band suspending the lower edge of a lens. SOLUTION: A lens retaining part 5 is formed which has two band fitting holes bored in parallel to an arris groove 11 and a band groove 12 of a lens 1, which is securely suspended without flawing the band 4. The band is inserted into the lens retaining part and extended out downward to prevent the band from abutting against a corner of a rim like before to flaw and eventually break.
