PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suspension device, capable of surely suspending equipment inside a nuclear reactor without making it incline. SOLUTION: A wire rope type winding machine 34 for making an elevation deck 40 and a suspension support frame 60 to be raised and lowered individually, drives its winding drums for rotation by a plurality of the driving means and can surely suspend the equipment in a nuclear reactor since it is structured to suspend the elevation deck 40 with a plurality of wire ropes 35 wound around one winding drum. Also it is structured to divide the rasing and lowering deck 40 into an upper deck 41 and a lower deck 42 and to connect the two, with a connection means 50 connecting freely swinging and so equipment inside a nuclear reactor can be suspended without causing the equipment to incline.
