PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a frame (1) for holding a flat body with a polygonal outline. SOLUTION: The frame (1) comprises a plurality of elongated, essentially straight profiled struts (3) whose end surfaces are connected to one another. The number of the profiled struts (3) corresponds to the number of sides of the outline. The profiled struts (3) are held together by means of a circumferential clamping element (7). A corner angle connector (5) is arranged between the end surfaces of two mutually adjacent profiled struts (3). The clamping element (7) functions on the corner angle connector (5), and the profiled struts (3) have a channel (8) in which the clamping element (7) runs. The channel (8) is open toward the inside of the frame (1) so that the clamping element (7) may be accessed from the inside of the frame (1), and the clamping element (7) braces the profiled struts (3) with respect to one another from the inside of the frame (1).
