PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for producing an oxime, without having a defect caused by a conventional thin-film separation process. SOLUTION: This method for producing the oxime comprises subjecting a carbonyl compound to ammoximation, wherein a solvent which has a boiling point of higher than 100°C, and/or forms a two-phase azeotropic mixture with water, and is stable under an ammoximation condition is used in a process (i), then water or the two-phase azeotropic mixture containing the water is distilled and removed from a mother liquid, and further a distillation column bottom product and, if necessary, a large proportion of an organic phase of the azeopropic mixture are returned to the process (i).
