PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid transferring apparatus capable of improving durability of an image while feeling of image quality of a raw image is kept, and a method for transferring a liquid. SOLUTION: The liquid transferring apparatus which transfers the liquid for improving durability of the image to a recording face of a recorded article having the image recorded with an ink has a liquid transferring member provided with a transferring face for transferring the liquid by coming into contact with the recording face of the recorded article. The liquid transferring member is composed of a liquid storing part for storing the liquid and a porous film controlling part for feeding the liquid in the liquid storing part to the transferring face while the liquid is restricted. The liquid transferring apparatus is furthermore provided with a holding member for storing and holding the liquid transferring member. The liquid storing part is formed of a sheet member, The holding member comprises a surface supporting frame on which an opening part for exposing the porous film is formed and a dish-like storing member with a flange jointed to the underside of the surface supporting frame.
