A glass plate having even-sized recessed portions which are more micro than the conventional ones is efficiently produced. The glass plate is obtained by floating molten glass on molten tin, and a surface of the glass plate which is in contact with the molten tin is provided with recessed portions having a diameter of 0.05-90 mum at a density of 4 recessed portions/mm<2> or more.
