The clamp (1) for the connecting of two pipes each with a locating flange, has two legs (6a,6b) interconnected by a connecting piece (2), each leg having a fixing section with an opening in which fits the locating flanges. Each leg of the clamp has a mounting section (10) with a spacer clip (14) for the establishing of a predetermined distance between both locating flanges. The width of the opening (21) in the fixing section allows a limited movement capability of the locating flange. An Independent claim is included for a use for the clamp which is for the positioning and fixing of two solar collector pipes.
