OPTICAL COMMUNICATION APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical communication apparatus which allows an appropriate two-way optical communication between a fixed unit-side circuit and a rotating unit-side circuit.

SOLUTION: Between the fixed unit 90 and the rotating unit 83, one optical coupler 87a having a rotation side light-sensitive element 116 provided on a rotating unit's axis line and a fixed side light emitting element 111 provided on the fixed unit in a position out of the axis line with its optical axis proceeding to the rotation side light-sensitive element is provided on the fixed unit on the axis line of the rotating unit and has a fixed side half mirror 113 which points an optical axis of the fixing side light emitting element 111 to the rotation side light-sensitive element 116. The other optical coupler 87b having a fixed side light-sensitive element 112 provided on the fixed unit on the axis line and a rotation side light emitting element 115 provided in a position out of the axis line of the rotating unit with its optical axis proceeding to the fixed side light-sensitive element is provided on the rotating unit on the axis line of the rotating unit and has a rotation side half mirror 117 which points an optical axis of the rotation side light emitting element 115 to the fixed side light-sensitive element 112.
