<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device of an automatically guided conveyance carrier and an automatically guided conveyance carrier for stably travelling forward and backward by only one driving unit. <P>SOLUTION: Rails 13 are laid along forward and backward directions at a right and a left on a bottom section of a carrier main body of a conveyance carrier 1. A driving unit 11 is slidable in the forward and backward directions of the main body guided by the rail 13. In a state shown with a full line in the figure, the driving unit 11 is in a state in which it is fixed on a front side, the driving unit 11 is slidable toward a rear side as shown with a two-dot line in the figure. The driving unit 11 is moved to a fixed position on the front side and the rear side of the main body and fixed to the rail 13 with pins 20a, 21a by driving a first and a second motors 18, 19. The driving unit 11 has a first magnetic sensor 14 on a front side and a second magnetic sensor 15 on a rear side thereof.
