PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smell measuring method and its instrument for accurately measuring the kind of smell (fragrance quality). SOLUTION: According to this smell measuring method and its instrument, a smell to be measured is measured based on the size and inclination of a vector in a two-dimensional coordinate system having, as elements of coordinate axes different from each other, measurement values of detection signals of a plurality of smell sensors 106A and 106B with reaction characteristics to smells different from each other.
