PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bill storage device with a light and simple safe which never causes a storage failure of bills. SOLUTION: This bill storage device comprises box-shaped safes having primary holding parts 18 and 23, a partitioning plate and support plate, bill storage parts 21 and 26 for storing bills between the partitioning plate and support plate, secondary holding parts 20 and 25 for temporarily holding bills on the primary holding part side of the partitioning plate, and opening parts on the primary holding part side; and pusher mechanisms 19 and 24 located on the opposite side from the safes relative to the primary holding parts, and having pushers for pushing the primarily held bills held in the primary holding parts or the secondarily holding bills held in the secondary holding parts to the safes. The primary holding parts and the secondary holding parts are vertically aligned, the primary holding parts are fixed to a body.
