PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent surface protecting film which does not peel after being pasted, but can easily be peeled when the surface protecting film becomes unnecessary, and also, does not damage the surface of an article to be placed, and does not present contamination by a residual glue as well. SOLUTION: This surface protecting film is constituted by laminating an adhesive layer containing a straight chain-form low density polyethylene (A) and at least two kinds of tackifiers on one surface of a polyolefin based film.
