PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce variations in hitting force, which are caused by a difference between magnetic suction forces of printing hammers at both ends with no hammer modules adjoining each other in a hammer mechanism part of a dot line printer. SOLUTION: A column-direction dimension L2 of a magnet, which is arranged on a hammer base, is set at L<L2 or L>L2 with respect to a column-direction full-length dimension L of the hammer modules, and the magnet is protruded or depressed in a column direction from right end and left end positions of the hammer module by each dimension obtained by the expression: (L2-L)/2.
