The invention relates to a method for producing packing bags (10) which consists in applying thermoweldable glue-coated areas (22 to 25; 22a to 25a) to the different faces of a material strip with the aid of a coating device. Said material strip (35) consists of paper and can be recycled. The specific configuration and structure of the coated areas (22 to 25; 22a to 25a) make it possible to reduce the consumption of said thermoweldable glue and packing material, thereby reducing the production costs of the packing bags.
