The pipe connection for metal pipes in conveyor systems has two flanges (10,12) interconnected by a coupling tensioner and fitted on the pipe ends to be connected, and with radially outwards protruding flange edges (18,20) and inner lying abutment faces (30,32) for the pipe ends. The pipe ends are secured in the flanges by an adhesive applied to them. The abutment faces are constructed on inwards protruding ribs (26,28), the inner radially inner surfaces of which are ground in crown form.
