CONNEXIN 26 INHIBITORS AND CANCER METASTASIS INHIBITORS

As represented by the following general formula (1), a connexin 26 inhibitor and a cancer metastasis inhibitor having a cis-oxirane structure and a terminal amide structure: (1) wherein R represents hydrogen or hydrocarbyl; X represents hydrogen, methanesulfonyl, ethanesulfonyl, acetyl, trifluoroacetyl, hydroxyl, alkoxy or amino; m is an integer of from 4 to 10; and n is an integer of from 4 to 7. This compound is a novel cancer metastasis inhibitor which specifically inhibits the function of connexin 26.
