<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a fixing part to a terminal fitting involved with bending of a flat cable. <P>SOLUTION: In a connector for the flat cable, notch portions 14 able to receive partitions 33 among each cavity 32 of a housing 31 are formed on an insulative coating layer 13 among adjacent respective conductors 12a, 12b, 12c at end portions of a flat cable 11. On the other hand, holding grooves 35 able to receive the coating layer 13 in rear of the notch portions 14 of the flat cable 11 are formed at rear end portions of each of the partitions 33 of the housing 31, influences on mounting portions 15 are reduced by putting bending fulcrums at parts of the coating layer 13 held by the holding grooves 35, when the flat cable 11 is bent in the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
