PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image blur correcting camera which does not perform useless image recovery by performing the image recovery when the improvement of image quality is expected by performing the image recovery. SOLUTION: By providing an image recovery propriety judging part (S680) judging the propriety of performing an image recovery mode in which image blur correction is performed by the image recovery or preparation to perform the image blur correction by the image recovery is performed, the image recovery is performed only when the improvement of the image quality is expected by performing the image recovery. Thus, the image recovery is prevented from being performed when the image recovery is not required or when the image quality is deteriorated all the more if the image recovery is performed.
