PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thermoplastic resin fine particles containing thermally foamable foaming agent in the particles, and to provide the foamed fine particles obtained by foaming the resin fine particles. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic resin fine particles impregnated with the volatile foaming agent is characterized by contacting and impregnating the thermoplastic resin fine particles with the pressurized volatile foaming agent in a closed pressure-resistant container and then reducing the pressure to foam.
