A grip aid for a wheel block, for supporting a wheel above ground level, has a plastic plate (5, 6) with grip slots and with front studs (7, 8) to fasten into a recess under the ramp section of the wheel block. The plate prevents wheel spin when driving onto the blocks. The slotted shape and profiled surface of the grip plate provides enhanced grip.
