The centrifuge has a bearing and sealing device constructed in the form of a cartridge with an inner (14) and outer (15) jacket between which is installed a bearing (6) so that the inner and outer jackets are rotatable relative to one another. The inner jacket is connected and torsionally fixed to the drum (2) of the centrifuge, or to a part connected to drum in a torsionally fixed manner, and the outer jacket is connected and torsionally fixed to the screw (3) of the centrifuge or to a part connected to the screw in a torsionally fixed manner. Alternatively, the inner jacket may be connected to the screw and the outer jacket to the drum.
