PURPOSE: A device for informing of an absent message by using an interphone and a device therefor are provided to transmit an absent message to a telephone by a controller of an interphone, and to display contents of the absent message by a controller of the telephone if an input portion is operated to display the contents, so that a user can know a visitor by confirming the message. CONSTITUTION: An input portion(317) has plural functional keys for setting functions of an interphone, and character keys for inputting messages. A display(318) has plural LEDs and/or an LCD for displaying the messages and a current state of the interphone. A memory(319) inputs a signal provided from a controller(312), and stores an inputted message. A wireless portion(311) wirelessly transmits the stored message to a telephone by inputting the signal provided from the controller(312). The controller(312) displays the inputted message on the display(318), stores the message in the memory(319), and wirelessly transmits the message to the telephone.
