<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a ceramic rolling element to have a long-term acoustic durability in use and to improve the initial acoustic characteristic as well. <P>SOLUTION: In a deep groove ball bearing 10 with a plurality of rolling elements 13 rollably arranged between an outer ring 11 and an inner ring 12, the rolling elements 13 characterized by being formed of a ceramic material having not less than 30% of the linear transmissivity of light at a wavelength of 650 nm for the thickness of 1 mm, and being secured in initial acoustic characteristic by an inspection based on a detection result of a defect obtained by a visual observation using the light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
