<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating element which is heated to a high temperature when it receives an electromagnetic wave such as a high-frequency, a microwave, and which is suitable for applying specifically to a cooking utensil for cooking by heating with the electromagnetic wave. <P>SOLUTION: This heating element is formed of an inorganic material and a carbide, and generates heat by the electromagnetic wave such as the high-frequency, the microwave. It generates heat highly effectively by receiving the electromagnetic wave, and has high formability capable of easily forming in a desired shape because it is formed of a sintered body composed of the carbide and the inorganic material. It is also imparted with absorption performance, and has excellent far-infrared ray radiating property. As a result, it can be preferably used for manufacturing an electromagnetic wave heating cooker such as a microwave oven, or a cooking utensil such as an IH cooker. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
