<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely connect electrode lead rods and an electrical resistance element to terminal fittings, to enhance the reliability of a piezo actuator, and simplify the constitution of the terminal fittings to facilitate their manufacture for cost reduction. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of the electrode lead rods 16a and 16b, provided on a piezo stack 12, are connected to a pair of the terminal fittings 161a and 161b on a connector portion 16. The terminal fittings 161a and 161b are formed by folding U-shaped sheet metal 161a', and the electrode lead rods 16a and 16b are bonded to the inside surfaces of the terminal fittings 161a and 161b arranged substantially in parallel. Thereafter, the electrical resistance element 171 is connected so that it bridges over the ends of the terminal fittings 161a and 161b.
