<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy unit allowing to miniaturize a device and reduced in heat loss when switching operation between heating and cooling in relation to the hydrogen storage alloy to prevent a breakdown of a container for housing the hydrogen storage alloy due to expansion in hydrogenation processing of the hydrogen storage alloy. <P>SOLUTION: This hydrogen storage alloy unit is provided with a heat exchanging chamber wherein a heat medium source flows, a pair of hydrogen chambers formed on both sides of the heat exchanging chamber, and a pair of hydrogen storage alloy pipes, of which one end faces to the inside the pair of hydrogen chambers and of which the other end is freely extended into the heat exchanger chamber and of which one end is fixed to each of the pair of hydrogen chambers. Each of the hydrogen storage alloy pipes forming a pair of hydrogen storage alloy pipes has the hydrogen storage alloy inside thereof, and the free end thereof inside the heat exchanger chamber is closed, and a hydrogen flow hole is opened in the end inside the hydrogen storage chamber. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
