PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device that realizes reading of stereoscopic prints, as represented by braille, by a simple modification based on a general-purpose image reading device.

SOLUTION: The image reading device reads a document to obtain image information, and is characterised in that it includes: a storage part that stores specific colors for stereoscopic image information in advance; and a determination part that obtains specific parts of the document, as the stereoscopic image information based upon the specific color.
