<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric connector 10 capable of adjusting characteristic impedance while securing the elasticity of a contact part 16 of a contact 14. <P>SOLUTION: In this electric connector 10 proved with a required number of contacts 14 having contact parts 16 contacting with partner connectors or a substrate and connection parts 22 connected with fixing parts 18 fixed to a housing 12 and the substrate and the housing 12 having engaging port 28 in which contact 14 is fixed and the partner connector etc. is inserted, it is attained by setting the intervals between the contacts 14 in a longitudinal direction constant and by providing a hole 20 between the contact part 16 of the contact 14 and the fixing part 18.
