PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently control scatter of toner in an image forming apparatus with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A scatter toner recovery device 5 is disposed on the downstream side from a black development unit 4K in the rotation direction (direction of the arrow R1) of a photoreceptor drum 1. The scatter toner recovery device 5 includes: a scatter toner recovery member 5a fixedly disposed apart from a development container 4a; a rectifying means that rectifies a recovering bias applied to the scatter toner recovering member from a power source so that its polarity is the reverse of the polarity of the scatter toner; and a recovered-toner fall prevention member 5b disposed below the scatter toner recovery member 5a.
